Our First Blog: Finding Christ, Truth, and Wholeness

Life’s Biggest Questions

There comes a point in everyone’s life when we begin asking deeper questions.

Where did I come from? What am I doing here? Where am I going?

For me, those questions became impossible to ignore when I was seventeen years old. After searching for truth in all the wrong places, I found it in the right Person—Jesus Christ. He answered every question.

I’d love to tell you more about that story someday, but for now, I’ll simply encourage you to discover the greatest story ever told: the good news of Jesus Christ. Here’s a little post I made to share with you.

Jesus changed everything, and set us down a path full of Christ, Truth, and Wholeness.

Figuring It Out Together

Three years after giving my life to the Lord, He brought a man into my life who would soon become my husband.

We’re only eight months into this marriage journey, and if there’s one phrase that has been used most often, it’s this:

“We’ll figure it out together.”

The truth is, we’re still learning. We’re young in marriage, still growing in our faith, and constantly asking questions about how to honor the Lord in every area of life.

Thankfully, we don’t have to rely on our own wisdom.

God has given us His Word, His Spirit, and the encouragement of other believers to guide us. What a gift that is.

Why This Blog?

As we’ve walked with the Lord, He’s been teaching us more than we could have imagined. About marriage. About family. About work. About health. About community. About what it means to truly follow Jesus.

And we’ve realized something…

We don’t want to keep those lessons to ourselves.

At its heart, this blog is simply a way to stay connected with the people we love—our family and friends—and to document and share what God is teaching us as we grow. If something the Lord teaches us encourages someone else to know Him more deeply, then this little corner of the internet has served its purpose.

Whether you’re family, a lifelong friend, or someone who found us through a Google search, we’re so grateful you’re here.

Our Mission: Christ, Truth & Wholeness

The world tells us that truth is ours to define and that wholeness comes from looking within ourselves.

Scripture tells a different story.

Real truth has a name: Jesus Christ. It’s absolute.

Real freedom comes from union with Him.

Real wholeness isn’t found in having life perfectly together or by living a “healthy lifestyle” but in being made new by the One who makes all things new and actively partnering with Him to see His will done “on earth as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10).

Our mission is simple:

To pursue Christ.
To seek His truth.
To live lives of wholeness for His glory.

To encourage and inspire you and the people you love to do the same.

We believe Jesus is Lord over every area of life. There is no divide between the “spiritual” and the “ordinary.” Marriage, family, meals around the table, our work, our homes, our finances, our health, and even the seemingly small moments all belong to Him. He’s in it all (Colossians 1:17).

As Paul writes,

“Whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” (1 Corinthians 10:31)

That’s the kind of life we’re pursuing.

Timeless Instruction

One of the coolest things about the Bible is that it has stood the test of time. God’s character, will, and principles are as true today as they were thousands of years ago. For example, God commands the nation of Israel to do the following:

We too, as Christians, have the responsibility to take God at His word.

Putting His word in our hearts.

Teaching them in our homes.

Speaking of them throughout our days.

Reminding ourselves of them in tangible ways.

Centering our lives around Him.

What You Can Expect

This isn’t a place where you’ll find perfect people or perfect answers.

We’re learning too.

We hope this will be a place where we open God’s Word together, ask honest questions, navigate adulthood, and encourage one another to faithfully follow Christ. Like the Bereans in Acts 17:11, we also encourage you to search the Scriptures for yourself.

Each week we’ll be sharing things the Lord is teaching us, including:

  • Biblical encouragement and lessons from Scripture
  • Marriage and family life
  • Building a Christ-centered home
  • Personal experiences and life lessons
  • Healthy recipes and nutrition
  • Nursing tips and practical wisdom
  • Book reviews and recommendations
  • Homemaking and simplifying life
  • Honest reflections as we continue growing in Christ

No matter the topic, our goal is always the same: to point everything back to Jesus.

Truth and Wholeness

  • Where did I come from? Created intentionally by God

(Genesis 1:27; Psalm 139:13; Ephesians 2:10).

  • What am I doing here? To know Him, love Him, and make Him known

(John 17:3; 2 Peter 3:18; Matthew 22:37-40; Matthew 22:37-40).

Where am I going? To an eternal Kingdom that has already begun through Christ

  • (Matthew 4:17; Matthew 25:34; John 3:3; Matthew 7:21).

Honestly, I can’t take credit for these questions. Jase Robertson from the Unashamed Podcast (highly recommend) poses them quite frequently (here’s a good one).

Join Us

We believe the gospel is about so much more than escaping sin.

Jesus saves us from sin so that we can be reconciled to God and walk in newness of life.

That new life is marked by truth instead of confusion.
Wholeness instead of striving.
Hope instead of fear.
Community instead of isolation.

Mission instead of idleness.

We aren’t promised an easy life this side of eternity, but we are promised an eternal hope.

So let’s live with eternity in view.

Let’s pursue Christ together.

Let’s reclaim the goodness of God’s design in every area of life.

And let’s encourage one another as we follow Him.

If something you read here encourages you, we’d love for you to leave a comment, ask a question, or share it with someone who might need it. We’d also love for you to subscribe to our weekly newsletter and connect with us on social media so we can continue growing together.

Thank you for being here from the very beginning. We can’t wait to see what the Lord does with this little space, and we’re grateful you’ve chosen to be part of the journey. May a passion grow in you for Christ, Truth, and Wholeness.

In Christ,

Amelia
