The Best Christian Podcasts for Women: 11 Podcasts to Help You Grow in Faith, Family & Life

Are you looking for Christian podcasts for women that will strengthen your faith, increase your knowledge of the Word, and give you practical ways to live out your walk as a Christian?

With so many Christian podcasts available today, it’s been a challenge for me to know who to trust and when to begin. Friend, these are some of the resources I’ve found to be helpful, and I’m grateful to get to share the with you.

Whether you’re looking for sound doctrine, wisdom on Christian marriage, discipling children, or simply a faith-filled conversation to listen to while you’re making dinner or driving, podcasts can be a helpful supplemental resource.

Peter encourages us:

“But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.”
— 2 Peter 3:18

My hope is that these Christian podcasts for women will help you as you grow in Christ.

A Quick Note On Christian Podcasts

Before we get into the recommendations, I would like to remind you that podcasts are supplemental resources and not a replacement for reading the Bible, prayer, fellowship with other believers, or being part of a local church.

As Christians, we don’t need to take everything we hear as truth simply because it comes from a Christian podcast. Jesus alone is the Truth, and God’s Word is our ultimate authority.

We have a wonderful example of this in Acts 17, when an early group of Christians searched the Scriptures after hearing Paul preach to see if what he was saying was the truth.

Today, we should do the same.

Sound doctrine—or sound teaching—is vital (see Titus 2:1, 2 Timothy 1:13, 1 Timothy 6:3-4), and Scripture teaches us to “rebuke those who contradict it” (Titus 1:9).

So, let’s listen with discernment, compare what you hear with Scripture, and hold every teaching up against the Word of God.

While podcasts offer great insight at times, our goal should not be to be constant consumers. More “Christian content” does not make us more “holy.”

Our goal is to know Christ and become more like Him.

“…that we may grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ.”
— Ephesians 4:15

What to Look for in a Christian Podcast

How do we know what podcasts are worth it?

Here are a few questions you may find helpful:

Does the podcast point me to Christ?

The resource (podcast or not) should direct our attention toward Jesus instead of the personality or platform.

Is Scripture handled faithfully?

Most Christians hold differing views on various topics, but we need to be careful about podcasts that take Scripture out of context or use the Bible to support ideas that aren’t actually found in the Word.

Does it encourage biblical living?

There is a difference between living for the world and living for Christ. Unfortunately, it’s easy to dip our toes in both from time to time. But, Christ calls us higher. He wants all of us, and it is much better that way. Finding resources that encourage us to live according to the World instead of cultural standards can be so helpful in illustrating what obedience looks like in our daily lives.

Will it help me grow?

Is this helping you grow in wisdom, holiness, love for Christ, and love for others or it is simply filling your mind with more information and more opinions?

There are episodes I choose not to listen to on most of these podcasts since they can sometimes be something that does not apply to my life or that is more opinion-driven.

11 Christian Podcasts for Women to Add to Your Listening List

Below, you will find some of my favorite Christian podcasts for women. These cover topics such as faith, family, marriage, motherhood, biblical womanhood, health, and everyday Christian living.

1. Now That We’re a Family

If you’re interested in Christian family life, marriage, parenting, and building a Christ-centered home, Now That We’re a Family is a podcast to add to your listening list.

It offers practical conversations about family life and encourages listeners to think intentionally about how we live out our faith within our homes.

One thing I love about this podcast is when the host has her mother on. Hearing her speak so highly of her mother and the way she and her husband raised their children “in the discipline and instruction of the Lord” (Ephesians 6:4).

Generational faith says a lot about the fruit of one’s walk.

Good for: Christian family, marriage, parenting, and homemaking.

2. Woah That’s Good

Woah That’s Good is probably the first Christian podcast I heard. Sadie, the host, has built her brand on being a “sister and a friend” to her listeners, and she does it so well.

In her podcast, she has conversations with guests about their lives, walk with the Llord, struggles, and lessons they’ve learned along the way. It’s an encouraging reminder that God can work through every season of life.

Good for: Christian encouragement, faith, testimonies, and everyday life.

It can be a great resource for those who are new in the faith and are looking for ways to navigate life as a Christian woman.

Good for: Christian women, spiritual growth, faith, and everyday Christian living.

4. For the Gospel Podcast

If you’re looking for a podcast that goes deeper into biblical truth, theology, and sound teaching, For the Gospel Podcast is one to consider.

Truly, this podcast has made a significant impact in my understanding of God’s word.

If I had to recommend one Christian podcast out of all of these, it would be this one.

The conversations cover many topics that are always rooted in Scripture. It is so helpful in developing a biblical worldview and understanding what God’s world really means.

It leaves us encouraged to think about what we believe and why.

Good for: Bible study, theology, doctrine, and Christian living.

The Gateway to Joy Podcast features the writings and teachings of Elisabeth Elliot, making it a wonderful resource for women who want to grow in biblical wisdom and faithfulness.

I like to think of Elisabeth Elliot as a wise mother or grandmother.

She is very biblical, to the point, and practical in her teaching.

Her life and teaching offer plenty to consider when it comes to surrender, obedience, suffering, marriage, womanhood, and following Christ.

The Lila Rose Show explores topics including faith, family, culture, marriage, motherhood, and current issues from a Christian perspective.

Truthfully, I heard this podcast for the first time a few weeks ago, and I’ve appreciated the different guests Lila brings on her show.

Most of the conversations I’ve heard thus far encourage us to think more deeply about how biblical principles apply to the world around us and stick with the Lord instead of doing what the culture deems as normal.

Good for: Faith, family, culture, marriage, and motherhood.

8. Stronger Marriage Podcast

This one is a game changer!

A husband and wife duo tackle all-things marriage and family, and they are not afraid to talk about the hard stuff.

Listening to them almost feels like you are listening to friends. Their honesty, openness, and dedication to Scripture helps to create a God-honoring view of marriage.

Although this podcast is hosted by three men, they offer such a unique perspective on the Word that has influenced my walk with the Lord over the last four years.

The Unashamed Podcast encourages Christians to stand firmly on biblical truth and live unashamedly for Christ no matter where they are or what they do.

It is a great resource in helping us to view our lives as a ministry and make the Christian walk more than a Sunday thing.

This podcast is full of conversation centered on the bible in a verse-by-verse format (aside from a few rabbit trials here and there).

A Final Encouragement for Christian Women

So many voices compete for our attention today.

It can get loud.

Finding trusting resources that can equip us in our free-time can be such an asset in our Christian walk.

We can listen all day long, but sometimes less is actually more.

If getting alone with the Lord is something Jesus did (Luke 5:16; Mark 1:35), how much more should we.

We are sinners who need a Savior.

We are children who need our Father.

God’s Word is our foundation. Christ is our hope.

Podcasts can be wonderful tools for encouragement and learning, but they should point us to the Lord Himself.

Finding ways to connect with the Lord after a podcast or sermon help the Word to take root in our hearts as we make our relationship with Him our own.

While we seek Him, we can rest in these promises:

“…that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.”
— Philippians 1:6

“And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.”
— Hebrews 11:6

Keep seeking Him, friends. Keep opening His Word. Keep testing what you hear against the truth of Scripture. Come to know the love of Christ.
