Why The Table
The table. A place where memories are made, hopes are shared, and dreams are expressed. A place where both body and soul are nourished. Yet so many miss this gift. There were gaps and brokenness all around us, but we found so much life in turning off the distractions and filling our minds and hearts with what is good (Philippians 4:8).
More often than not, the table was where we came together. Whether we were sharing a meal with a faithful family we admired or sitting across from one another on one of our first dates, truth found its way to the table. It was there that we shared our hearts, found encouragement, and were drawn deeper into the heart of the Lord. The pulpit encouraged us, the Word gave us life, and the conversations around the table fortified our souls.
Early in our walk with Christ, we recognized the need for strong, Christ-centered families. We also discovered that authenticity often surfaced over a meal at the family table. We believe our homes are among God’s greatest tools for evangelism, strengthening His kingdom, and storing up treasures in heaven. The Lord has used godly families to strengthen and confirm our faith in countless ways—even bringing us together in marriage—and has given us a deep passion for Christ and His purposes.
After a long day, we knew we would meet face to face over a meal—or even just a snack—to share what the Lord had done, face life’s challenges together, and dream about what He might do next. That’s how *A Fortified Table* was born.
We couldn’t keep it to ourselves, and we don’t think you should either (Acts 20:35; Proverbs 3:27; Galatians 6:10). Our prayer is that we would not only help nourish your body through practical health encouragement but also fortify your soul as we remind you of the hope to which Christ has called us. There is so much to live for. Pull up a seat. Be encouraged. Let us live for Christ and encourage others to do the same.
Bring it all to the table. Reclaim the true joys of life. Experience the wholeness God desires for you and your loved ones. Take a seat, and together let us learn what it means to live a life well lived for our Lord.
